My name is Glennie Edwin Burks, Colonel, US Army (retired) and I am a creative and dynamic professional with a record of increased responsibility. Results driven and mission focused with diverse industry experience including research, academia, non-profit and government. A consumer of new programs, ideas and processes. A progressive leader whose focus is developing leaders and talent management.

My Story

Glennie infuses his work on behalf of others with cultural competence, and he champions diversity, equity and inclusion, social justice and public safety. 

He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Western Michigan University and a master’s from Texas Woman’s University in Sociology. He is a doctoral candidate at Texas Southern University in Public Policy, and an adjunct professor of both criminology and sociology. He has been a research fellow at RAND Corporation and a National Security Fellow at Harvard.

Glennie is a retired army colonel, and among his many roles, he proudly served as a senior executive in the military police, and a Chief Operations Officer where he was responsible for a budget in excess of 50 million dollars. He also oversaw the training and equipping of more than 12,000 military police. 

Glennie’s work has been featured in the Dallas Morning News, Kansas City Star and other prominent publications, and he regularly presents at local, state and national conferences.
